Experience the Abel Tasman National Park with "Southern Exposure"  

Abel Tasman National Park was formed in 1942 and is one of New Zealand's best known National Parks.

Containing lush subtropical forest, golden sand beaches, clear turqoise waters, spectacular granite coastline and sea caves are all features of the area. The park is home to a wide variety of birds and marine life including penguins, gannets, terns, gulls, reef herons, stilts, shearwaters, dolphins and NZ fur seals are in abundance.

After your guide gives you full instructions on safe paddling techniques and settles you into a stable, double kayak then you soak up the natural beauty of the Sandy Bay coastline in the protected southern area of the Abel Tasman.

Walk Abel Tasman National Park

For the best of everything this trip is for you. Cruise to the golden expanse of Onetahuti beach via the Seal Colony at Tonga Island. Walk 1.5 hours over a forested saddle to the picturesque estuary and calm waters of Bark Bay.

Then walk the most varied section of the track, 2 hours to Torrent Bay, with vegetation ranging from dappled sunny regenerating Kanuka forest to dense temperate rainforest, including the Swing Bridge over Falls River.

Great Day Out

For those who want to experience everything in the park. Cruise to Onetahuti, via the fascinating seal colony in the Tonga Island Marine Reserve.

Walk over a forested saddle to Bark Bay where you can rejoin our boat. If you are feeling energetic and have the time, continue walking a further 2 hours to Torrent Bay.
