Kaiteriteri beach

Loved for its turquoise water and golden sand beach, the sunny town of Kaiteriteri is a launching place for trips into the Abel Tasman National Park.

Kaiteriteri is a town and seaside resort in the Tasman Region of the South Island of New Zealand. It is close to both Marahau, the main gateway to Abel Tasman National Park and the township of Motueka.

It is best known for its scenic beaches.

This attractive beach town is 13 kilometres from Motueka and a handy gateway to the Abel Tasman National Park. During the warmer months, you’ll find locals and visitors here, basking in the sunshine, dining at the beachfront restaurant or enjoying one of the many water activities on offer.

But Kaiteriteri doesn’t sleep during the winter, and in fact it is one of the most beautiful times to explore the park, on land and on water. The sea is calm, the morning air is crisp, and the local wildlife comes out to play.
